Over Christmas ( yes I am very behind on my posts) was the perfect opportunity to make sure all the girls were measured and their dresses were purchased. It was so nice to have a majority of my favorite ladies all in one place. I do after all have a very geographically diverse bridal party. 🙂
Laura, Lisa, Anna, Dani and Katlyn
For the record none of these are the actual color of the dress.
I was also joined by my beautiful and sweet flower girl Alli, that had recently decided to cut herself some bangs. 🙂 As soon as she got to the Wedding Shoppe Inc. she was ready to try on flower girl dresses.
Event though she already has a dress picked out and bought the attendants at the shop were nice enough to pull a handful of dresses for her to try on. All in all it was a wonderful day!
You read correctly, I bought my wedding dress last weekend. Don’t get me wrong, I’m fully aware that the wedding is not actually the most important part, its the marriage. It’s committing to spending the rest of your life with your best friend and husband. Got it! But lets be honest, everyone goes to see the bride in her beautiful dress and I know they say that every bride looks beautiful, but I’m not buying it. I want to know I look and feel great on my wedding day. 🙂 So sue me. I’ll be the first to admit it was actually a lot of pressure to pick out a dress. Kyle’s sister told me “trust me when you find the right one you will know because it will scream buy me!”. And it did. It took three wedding shops and a dozen dresses that didn’t even make it out of the dressing room. But I found the perfect one. It is not at all what I had in mind when I went there to buy a dress but it fits the wedding I (*cough* we… ) envisioned. It’s romantic and timeless. And I’m sorry to tell you but you wont get to see it till the day of the wedding!!! I know I’m horribly mean.
What I will let you know is that I bought it from the Wedding shoppe Inc. They honestly could not have been nicer. They had my body shape in mind, my wedding vision and my price bracket when picking out dresses. Not only that but they also seemed genuinely excited to help me find the wedding dress for me. I couldn’t have had a better experience. I also don’t want to forget the wonderful women who helped me choose the “right one”. I am so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life.
I also selected what I think will be our bridesmaid dresses. So let me know what you think!
It’s a Kennedy Blue dress which is the brand for the Wedding Shoppe Inc. They will be in the eggplant option shown above.
Stay tuned for more wedding updates to come.
I will be totally honest finding a wedding dress is so much fun but I expected it to be a little easier. This is my second stop trying on dresses and I have found some great front-runners but I’m just not sure I have found “the one”. I found the perfect guy so why can’t I find the perfect dress????
What I will say though is that I am fortunate enough to have so many wonderful people in my life to be there to help me find the perfect dress. These are just a few of those wonderful women.
Perhaps I am being a little hard on myself and being a little too picky on finding a dress. Below are the front-runners from my second round of dress shopping. So let me know what you think!
Next stop is round three, I’m hoping that I will find the perfect dress after this trip. I will also have our second round of bridesmaid dresses. Even though every bridesmaid pretends to enjoy picking out dresses I know they are really just dreading having a horrible dress. This is how bridesmaids really feel about picking out dresses. But I love them for it 🙂
Thank you ladies and mom for putting up with this long ordeal and I apologize in advance for what is to come, we do after all still have 11 months till the big day!
